Welcome to Navarre and Navarre Beach, Florida

Navarre is an unincorporated community in Santa Rosa County in the Northwest Florida Panhandle.  It is about 25 miles east of Pensacola and about 15 miles west of Fort Walton Beach.

Navarre is centered near the junction of U.S. Highway 98, the primary east-west route between Pensacola and the Fort Walton Beach area, and Florida Highway 87.

Tourism has increased in the Navarre area, leading the community to declare itself "Florida's Best Kept Secret."  A boardwalk, park, and butterfly house are located near the bridge to Navarre Beach, which is immediately across Santa Rosa Sound to the south

Navarre Beach has miles of beautiful shoreline.  Public beaches are accessible via the Navarre Beach Bridge from U.S. Highway 98.  Navarre Beach is the longest continuous stretch of protected beach in Northwest Florida.  There are eight miles of beaches located within the federally protected Gulf Islands National Seashore, extending from Pensacola Beach on the west to Navarre Beach on the east.

It is located on the Gulf of Mexico, at the southern tip of Santa Rosa County in Northwest Florida. Navarre is a friendly community, set among the most beautiful beaches in the world, with pleasant temperatures, excellent schools and flourishing businesses. The Navarre area comprises diverse cultures and peoples because visitors come and never want to leave, and because of the nearby military installations – Hurlburt Field, Eglin Air Force Base, NAS Whiting Field and NAS Pensacola.
